Surianne
is an independent woman, an independent artist and unique as the only British female
singer/songwriter of Acoustic Flamenco Rock Music at this time.
Music
critics describe her as an Inglesa Gitana (a Spanish gypsy singing in English).
London based she brings a new wave of music strongly influenced by the fusion
of acoustic guitar sounds and driving percussive rhythms, her style is derived
from a blend of various cultures inspired by Mediterranean grooves and warm
summer nights. With a kick up the ass.
Surianne
has performed alongside artists such as Nate James, John Adeleye, David Jordan. Suzanne Vega, Steve Balsamo,
Anthony Joseph & The Spasm Band, Breed77, Spencer Kennedy and others. She
has graced the stages of festivals and venues like The Emirates Stadium, The O2
Academy, The London International Music Show, The Beverley Folk Festival and also
for The Princes Trust.
In 2005,
she received a nomination for a Birmingham music
award for best 
unplugged / unsigned act in the Midlands.
In Nov 2008, she was in the top three acts of the Jar Music Maldives UK
Breakout Festival. In 2010, she works closely with charity ‘Hestia Housing
& Support’ as an Ambassador for the charity, releasing her track ‘Stronger
Than Before’ to raise money for them in Jan 2011’ and raisining awareness for
Hestia’s Domestic Violence services.
Distributed through online music portals such as
iTunes, Amazon MP3, MySpace Music, Reverbnation, the single ‘Stronger Than
Before’ entered the iTunes UK Top 100 Latino songs at #56 on the 25th January.
